One major advantage of in-cell screen technology over other options is thinness — by integrating the touchscreen sensors into the LCD, maximum thinness can be achieved. This will help in achieving the 6-6.5mm thickness Apple apparently wants for the iPhone 7.

セルスクリーン技術の発達により、LCDとタッチセンサーの統合できたことで、iPhone 7を6〜6.5mmにまで薄くできるかもしれないそうです。
ちなみに、iPhone 6は、6.9mm。iPhone 6sは、7.1mmだと言われています。
もし1mm近く薄くなるとしたら、軽さへの恩恵ももちろん相当でしょうなぁ。
（まぁ、正直その1mm分をバッテリーに回して欲しいのですが。。。）
